Nicco is a son of Merlin

Nicco has a wonderful temperament, in addition to having beautiful conformation and great trainability. He competes in both Canine Agility and Rally Obedience, and does numerous "jobs" around the house, including fetching his master's shoes in the morning, picking up his master's dirty socks from the night before and dropping them in the laundry basket, and retrieving the TV remote control. When competing at recent UKC shows, numerous participants remarked at the calm and friendly behavior exhibited by Nicco and other Sugarloaf Shepherds, in stark contrast with some other German Shepherds at the same show.

Merlin's pedigree is listed on the web site for the White German Shepherds Dog Club of America (WGSDCA).

Merlin (Vantasia's Merlin Lancelot), no longer available at stud, is a Champion in UKC and WGSDCA conformation competition, and is working on his Grand Championship. He completed his Championship in the White German Shepherd Dog Club International Inc. (WGSDCII), handled by Barbara Hively, at the Club's 35th National Specialty Show in Hagerstown, MD on June 24, 2007. Merlin will celebrate his ninth birthday in October (2010). He has beautiful black pigment to highlight his almost snow white fur coat, and has beautiful angulation. Merlin finally won Best of Breed over now-deceased Vantasia veteran, 11-year-old Durango (Vantasia's Durango Ravenwood), in the June 2007 show. Durango had won the title four different times at WGSDCII National shows in the past. Merlin's dam is China (Vantasia's Lucia China), daughter of the famous Bianca, who is now in the Hall of Fame of the WGSDCII. Durango's dam is Bianca.

Merlin's sire is Isaac (U-CD UKC WS/AWSA/WSCC Ch. Royal Sir Isaac's IQ, CGC, OFAGS-57851F25M-T HIPS (white). Isaac's pedigree is also on the WGSDCA web site.
